если младенцу включить любую музыку она будет звучать для него примерно также, как эта группа

В начале поздние альбомы казались скучноватыми, но со временем и они понравились.

Hole in the Heart is the most beautiful power electronics piece I've ever heard.

man, you know when you meet someone and they make you heart skip a beat? I havent been alive, man, i've been living but not alive. I swear if i could hear a word from her, if i could hold her, i''d be able to breathe again. I've told myself everything, lied to myself, pretended like it was over for me. i am even in a relationship now, failing to convince myself that i love someone else. I know it is not true, i can only love her, hell, i'd do anything for her. my heart just wants what it wants , man. I'm just tired of pretending, tired of living a life of running just so i could live..

"Hole in the Heart", I can't desribe about it after couple of listen. Pure sadness, noisy perfection.

i understand hole in the heart is by far their best work and a pinnacle of human achievement but there's 6 k listeners difference between that and the next release. just listen to the rest of their material ffs

I'd say Ramleh and Skullflower shaped this "bad trip rock" sound together and the inspiration was mutual. Ramleh had a unique psychedelic approach even on the early PE works. Matthew Bower's pre-Skullflower band Pure sounds with an obvious enthusiasm for this brooding/nightmarish sound. Rewind a few years, and we hear Gary Mundy contributing to Birthdeath / Form Destroyer / Xaman.

I think it probably has to do with what's available on streaming platforms. I use Spotify, and I only get Hole In the Heart, Circular Time, the Great Unlearning, and the collection of singles. I agree though, people would do themselves a favor listening to releases from that era, especially Homeless.

The Great Unlearning is the perfect soundtrack to marking a stack of midterm exams.

Меня поражает, что Hole in the Heart был выпущен в 1987, он звучит как поздние релизы Prurient и ранний OPN.

Incredible how they're both a great power electronics group and an amazing noise rock group.

When ever power electronics is brought up in discussion people always mention the same couple of acts. It's genocide organ or hole in the heart by ramleh. This leads me to believe that people don't look past the biggest groups in the genre. In the case of the bands mentioned previously i can excuse this

uhm, on a side note, does anyone know of any PE projects with a similar psychedelic sound? Like on Redcap part VI or some of the more recent kleistwahr recordings (not the horrid comeback one though) or early skullflower even. Something more focused on despair rather than anger like most things Mundy and Bower have been involved with
