They really dropped the ball on this one, didn't they? It seems so incredibly rushed, as if they were just in a hurry to write some new material to play live. I'm not saying this album is really all that awful or anything, but I think it would've been much much better if they would've taken their time to hone it a bit more. Right now, I don't think there's a single track that is anywhere close to the quality of their previous three releases. And while I understand the decision to include the female soprano-vocals (to bring their sound more and more close to a more classical leaning), I don't think they fit that well, and that's certainly one instance where the unfinished nature of this album is clearly showing.

I would agree easily with that. The album is so messy, the production/mix is awful, everything is on top of each other. Yes, they introduced new elements to their music which is cool, but they have definitely rushed it. It could have been a really great concept album, but as it is, it's almost unlistenable to me. I've tried multiple times to appreciate it, but still I can't...

This album has grown on me tremendously. Sure there are still things that bother me, especially when compared to Agony and let alone Oracles. The mix is a tad muddier, particularly the snare drum and Paolo's schizophrenic bursts of clean vocals, despite being insanely catchy and ridiculously fun to listen to, are too low in the mix. Additionally, I absolutely love the huge vocal choirs in the background and on top of it all. Makes everything just so much grander and epic. Reminds me a lot of Mechina. The female operatic vocals are okay, but I would have replaced them by more hymnic choruses with Paolo's amazingly soaring falsettos as in The Hypocrisy, The Deceit, and The Oppression. Overall a great album that is definitely more focused on the cinematic and bombastic grandeur of the compositions yet it still has a lot of twisted and fast blasting which coupled with the loud machine gun drums just annihilates.

This is better than Agony? No-fuckin'-way. [2] A bit of disappointment for me. "Agony" is a masterpiece, and I'm in heaven every time I listen to it. "Labyrinth" is built from the same blocks and styles, but still lacks something... And the "choir" sounds too synthetic and reminds me of Igorrr's electronic experiments.

I can't even imagine what the album proceeding this will sound like. This band is absolutely on fire right now, everything they touch turns to fucking gold. They've grown in leaps and bounds on every album and continue to evolve. I get giddy with excitement just thinking about it.

Brilliant. They are obviously more than just one more metal band. Music from the large letter.

Way better than Agony, in my opinion. This album is pretty damn amazing, and the female vocals are a nice touch.
